National Award Winner Aparna Sen’s Ghawre Baire Aaj to be Screened at Jagran Film Festival

Filmmaker Aparna Sen’s Ghawre Baire Aaj has been shortlisted as the opening film of the Jagran Film Festival at New Delhi on July 18. It is to be noted here that the movie is yet to be released.
The movie will be a modern day take on Rabindranath Tagore’s novel ‘Ghare Baire’. Ghawre Bairey is about the love triangle of Nikhilesh, his wife Bimala and his friend Sandip. The film features Anirban Bhattacharya, Jisshu Sengupta and Tuhina Das in the lead.

The first look poster of the movie had been released. The poster shows socio-political turmoil introducing Nikhilesh, Bimala and Sandip played by Anirban Bhattacharya, Tuhina Das, and Jisshu Sengupta respectively.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Ranjan Ghosh directed Ahaa Re will also be screened at the Jagran Film Festival in Delhi. The romantic comedy movie is one of the biggest hit of the year.
The screening will be conducted at the Audi 3 of the Siri Fort Auditorium. This movie marked Rituparna Sengupta’s entry into production. She is also planning to come up with a sequel for this film.
The film features Arifin Shuvoo and Rituparna Sengupta in lead roles. The film revolves around a rich Muslim chef from Dhaka (Arifin Shuvoo) and a middle-class Hindu home cook from Calcutta (Rituparna Sengupta). She specializes in traditional Bengali cuisine while Arifin is a master of Bangladeshi dishes. The duo meets and discovers love through their shared passion for food and cooking.
